All about your medal hanger
Why slate?
Fixed letters never change; your times do. On the slate you wipe it and write the new one. And the 19 mm board holds plenty of medals without bending.
Will it fit your wall?
With the ribbons hanging it takes about 50 × 80 cm. Tip: tape a 50 × 30 cm sheet of paper to the wall before drilling to see how it looks. Lots of medals? Two side by side make a 100 × 30 cm panel with 20 hooks.
How to write your times
Wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, let it dry and write in chalk on each distance line. New personal best? Wipe it off and write the new one.
Ideas to get the most out of it
- Sort your medals by year, from the first to the latest.
- Clip the bib of your favourite race.
- Write where and when: “Valencia, Dec 2025”.
- Write next to it the time you want to beat.
